Fleet Tracking
With American Security Logistics' Fleet Tracking System, the company is able to provide customers with effective vehicle location and fleet tracking assistance, the company is able to provide customers with effective vehicle location and fleet tracking assistance.
Fleet owners experience tremendous anxiety when it comes to the management of their vehicular fleet and related human resources. With ASL's GPS technology, fleet managers can locate a person or object carrying a receiver. The Device alleviates many of the concerns that fleet experience when their trucks and drivers remain out of sight for days and weeks at a time. ASL's technology has already provided a significant return on investment for many companies like UPS and other logistics providers.
How does ASL's fleet management work?
A combination of ASL vehicle tracking hardware and software makes fleet tracking easy and effective. The receivers are installed on fleet vehicles and transmit information from the field to ASPS' monitoring station. The company monitors the vehicle for specific alerts and informs and assists the customer if they need backup
Oure personnel are able to track the location and movement of a fleet on the amp and record the information. Officers are able to identify if a vehicle has stopped, how long it has been motionless and the amount of time it took a driver to reach its destination. In addition, the technology, which transmits data almost every 5 minutes, can determine when a driver accelerates through a speed-restricted area or causes an accident due to negligent driving.
For more information, please contact us about fleet management solutions.
Benefits of GT fleet management and vehicle tracking
ASL technology has revolutionized the ntire supply chain and logistics industry and offers fleet owners and end customers many tangible and significant benefits. ASL vehicle tracking has improved employee productivity, resulting in greater customer satisfaction and improved the bottom line for many companies by reducing costs.
For example, drivers can't keep the engine chugging and burning precious fuel while the fleet is not mobile. With ASl's vehicle locators, drivers learn to maintain the right speed which ultimately improves vehicle safety and speed efficiency. With arrival and departure times along the route duly recorded, driver productivity can be easily monitored.
Fleet owners can not only monitor the movement of employees, but they can guide, govern and discipline them as well. Vehicle drivers are forced to keep a watch over the clock, with no potential for manipulation of the log book.
This vehicle technology has virtually become a necessity for fleet owners whose business depends on efficient movement and utilization of their vehicles. It's become imperative for companies small and large to invest in a quality and reliable ASL fleet management system.
Investigative Services
ASPS investigators assist individuals, businesses and attorneys by finding and analyzing information. We collect all information down to the smallest detail to uncover facts about legal, financial, or personal matters. ASPS investigators offer many services, Including pre-employment verification and individual background profiles.
ASPS investigators have many methods to choose from when determining the facts in a case. ASPS performs computer drive and database searches to recover files, documents and emails. We also search nationwide databases to quickly find specific information such as a subject’s prior arrests, convictions and civil legal judgments; telephone numbers, motor vehicle registrations, association and club memberships and even photographs.
ASPS investigators also perform various other types of surveillance or personal inquiries to verify facts such as an individual’s income or place of employment. In other cases, especially those involving missing persons and background checks, our investigators perform interviews to gather as much information as possible about an individual. ASPS investigators often work under cover to achieve these goals.
The duties of ASPS investigators depend on the needs of our clients. In cases that involve fraudulent workers’ compensation claims, for example, our investigators may carry out long-term covert observation of a person suspected of fraud.
ASPS can focus on intellectual property theft, investigate and document acts of piracy, help clients stop illegal activity, and provide intelligence for prosecution and civil action. ASPS investigators also specialize in developing financial profiles and asset searches. Our reports reflect information gathered through interviews, investigation and surveillance, and research, including review of public documents.
ASPS investigators assist in preparing criminal defenses, locating witnesses, serving legal documents, interviewing police and prospective witnesses, and gathering and reviewing evidence. ASPS investigators also may collect information on the parties to the litigation, take photographs, testify in court, and assemble evidence and reports for trials.
ASPS corporate investigators conduct internal and external investigations for corporations. In internal investigations, we may investigate drug use in the workplace, ensure that expense accounts are not abused, or determine whether employees are stealing merchandise or information. External investigations attempt to thwart criminal schemes from outside the corporation, such as fraudulent billing by a supplier.
ASPS financial investigators develop confidential financial profiles of individuals or companies that are prospective parties to large financial transactions. These investigators often are certified public accountants(CPAs) who work closely with investment bankers and other accountants. ASPS also searches for assets in order to recover damages awarded by a court in fraud or theft cases.
ASPS Investigators also work for retail stores and hotels and are responsible for controlling losses and protecting assets. Asset Investigators, also known as loss prevention agents, safeguard the assets of retail stores by apprehending anyone attempting to steal merchandise or destroy store property. They prevent theft by shoplifters, vendor representatives, delivery personnel and even store employees. Executive Protection
Given the increasing terrorist and life-threatening situations in the world, personal protection for executives, celebrities, politicians and others in the public eye are a necessity more than ever before. No longer can such at-risk individuals function safely with minimal protection. To maintain any degree of security nowadays, only superior protection will suffice. Not only does ASPS integrate a broad spectrum of proven protection techniques, but the thoroughness of our personnel far exceeds industry standards.
The threats facing an executive vary widely depending on the size of the company, the industry it belongs to, and the individual's profile. ASPS specializes in high profile fields such as celebrity, financial services, pharmaceutical, and energy industries where threats of personal attack are common. ASPS can provide the newest technology as well as best trained personnel to provide you with ease of mind.
Given the range of risks involved, ASPS, who has managed hundreds of executive protection programs, knows that protecting an individual is a vastly different from securing a facility. Unlike facilities, with obvious access point, there are numerous, sometimes unforseen, ways for a t threat to reach an executive. Executives will also rebel against overbearing security restrictions. ASPS faces the challenge of calibrating protection that serves their company's needs while also making that security more tolerabale to the executives who have to live with it.
Whether you are starting an EP program or just looking to improve on a preexisting plan, the first step ASPS will take is to conduct a thorough risk analysis. We will identify the individual(s) who are critical to your organization, assess the impact to the corporation if they were lost, and examine the risks that each individual faces. Is there a history of threats against any of these individuals? Do they travel regularly to dangerous places? To what kinds of crimes or dangerous situations are they most vulnerable?
Based on what the protection team learns about its subjects, ASPS will start to get a picture of what kinds of security measures are required. Some companies find that their executives need very little protection. Others need a 24/7 command post set up in their home. You should also consider whether your industry has a standard for executive protection. Companies in high-risk industries might find that there are some common levels of protection used for their executives. For example, executives at large financial services companies might have panic alarms in their homes as a standard security protocol.
The term "Executive Protection Professional" should tell you all you need to know about the evolution of executive security details. "Body Guards" in black turtlenecks and suit jackets are fine but they do just that. . .guard the body and are not effective for executives. An effective EP program has to be based on research and preparation rather than sheer muscle. The purpose of an EP Professional is to create an environment that protects every facet of an executive's lifestyle to also provide peace of mind. That's the difference between a bodyguard and a protection professional: one specializes in muscles and intimidation, and the other may be less physically imposing but is better prepared to identify threats before they materialize.
When you are using ASPS staff, we will ensure that our protection professionals are properly trained. ASPS has personnel that are trained and experienced in defensive driving, emergency medical training, the ability to defend against an attack, threat assessment and countermeasures. All ASPS protection professionals are also expected to conduct themselves in a professional capacity both in appearance and demeanor.
Parcel Scanning
ASPS provides the GT family of products, which provides Homeland Security solutions to identify physical threats, property security, concealed weapons, bombs, and contraband. The Company differentiates itself from competition by deploying proprietary (unique) security protection technology. In the world of international threats and domestic commerce, security inspection and tracking of personal and physical property face more challenges than ever before. Governments and commercial businesses must identify a growing number of harmful threats to protect lives and valuable assets.
Security capabilities include automated monitoring of facilities via Wireless Surveillance, Motion/Intrusion Detection, and Access Control. The GT system utilizes wireless and wired Telco interfaces for reporting alarms, which provide for remote query and real-time viewing from one’s cell phone or remote computer, and is ideally suited for central monitoring of high-rise, motel, hotel and large office complex structures.
Primary Applications: GT is an ideal solution for monitoring work environments wherever the potential or concern may exist for exposure to dangerous environmental conditions, such as may be the case with industrial, government or critical infrastructure facilities. GT is an ideal solution for detecting environmental threats at the point of origin and limiting damage through Environmental Control, Access Control and Alert functions.
Commercial facilities and private residence monitoring are ideal applications for GT, especially for mitigating personnel health threats which may occur due to accident or faulty equipment. Individuals with compromised health, such as the elderly, or individuals with cardiovascular, lung, liver, or kidney problems or other chronic ailments can be quite sensitive to environmental stress consisting of air pollutants, low oxygen levels, or high temperature and humidity conditions.
ASPS developed a censoring service model using a system of unique technologies that can provide protection from nearly all possible threats. The service model can immediately respond to security threats and is capable of facilitating rapid censoring without impeding the flow of commerce. There are "mobile" or "stationary" solutions available for preventive security protection applications. Most system footprints are customizable, maneuverable, and affordable. The technology is safe to use, fast, more effective, and less expensive than any standard technology. The Company is introducing and deploying these security solutions to protect lives and property in high-traffic portals that include:

Applications Overview
The insurance industry is posting record losses for stolen, mismanaged, lost, delayed, or spoiled shipments. The VISSI Pallet tracking products were built to address this monumental problem. The VISSI Pallet provides critical visibility into the entire logistical supply chain, delivering benefits to insurance carriers, manufactures, trucking companies, logistics companies, and loss prevention firms.
The VISSI Pallet is a light weight (approx. 10 lbs.) pallet built with a GPS/GPRS device concealed within the center of the pallet. It is rechargeable via a mini usb charger. The device goes to sleep when not in use and wakes up when moved or struck. The battery life on a single charge is over two months depending on how often it is required to report. The software managing this product is built on the Foundation of Globaltrak a division of Systems Planning Corporation. The Vissi Pallet can be monitored 24/7 by American Security Logistics Information Management Bureau provided exclusively for ASL by Cyber Controls. Tier 1, 2, and 3 tech support is also available 24/7. The device within the Pallet was developed by U.S. BioSensors in conjunction with our Manufacturer USGLOBALSAT.
During marketing research, Insurance companies and carriers have indicated they could provide their clients with discounts on policies, dismissal or reduction of deductibles', increased cargo coverage, and coverage for shipment previously not covered due to risk, if their clients use the VISSI Pallet device.
U. S. BioSensors (USBIO) in association with American Security & Protective Services Inc. (ASPS) provides a complete Logistics solution for supply chain participants. Although USBIO believes the market potential for this product is significant, research has validated that the insurance industry presents the most significant opportunity to date. USBIO is responsible to provide sales and supporting services for the VISSI Pallet products. This includes proprietary software to provide the VISSI Pallet functionality, storage of tracking information and access.
The opportunity to secure insurance coverage in most shipping situations depends on the confidence and ability of the shipper to protect the shipment from point of origin to final destination. When completed appropriately all parties involved are financially rewarded. Any opportunity to assist the shippers and the insurance carriers in achieving a satisfactory outcome to these transactions must be considered. The VISSI Pallet provides just such an opportunity. The VISSI Pallet is the world's first multifunctional GPS Pallet tracking device providing real time or selected time monitoring information. The participating providers are among the world's best and strongest industry leaders. This allows for the continuing success of the VISSI Pallet, maintaining its leadership role in the industry and staying abreast of the changing security requirements and new technologies.
American Security & Protective Service through American Security Logistics of Las Vegas, Nevada provides supporting monitoring and alert services for the VISSI Pallet. The Alert center is 24/7 tracking and dispatch center monitoring the conditions of every VISSI Pallet in service.
This enables a user to know precisely which data triggered the alert and the reliability of each input. The system has automatic alert and alarm capabilities for a range of criteria. These are both situational and database-oriented, and they can be sent for any combination of informational purposes requiring concurrent multiple sensor data. Alarms can focus on shipment attributes, motion, stationary zones, anchorages, boundary crossings, transits, and routes, closest points of approach, status changes and schedule changes. When a threshold alarm is triggered the VISSI Pallet will send notices via e-mail, text, internet, or phone call to the Alert Center or Stakeholder. The information provided will then be acted on in accordance to customer assignments. This includes supervisors, shippers, driver, law enforcement, insurance carriers, receivers, drivers, or dispatchers.
Visibility into exact locations of cargo has never been as important as today due to the increased movement of cargo from offshore, the need to move it quickly to final destinations and new security requirements. Today's VISSI Pallet sensor technology provides critical visibility into supply chain activities, delivering benefits to carriers, shippers and customers.
Multiple levels of VISSI Pallet device technologies can be applied individually or in tailored combinations:
Asset tracking uses the VISSI Pallet mobile communications, and other tools to monitor the location and status of tractors, trailers, chassis, containerized shipments and cargo.
On-board status monitoring uses sensors to monitor vehicle operating parameters, cargo condition, and attempts to tamper with the load.
Gateway facilitation uses non-intrusive inspection technologies to simplify and speed operations at terminal gates, highway inspection stations, and border crossings.
Freight status information uses web-based technologies and standards to facilitate the exchange of information related to freight flows.
Network status information uses VISSI Pallet sensor to integrate data from cargo while displaying technologies to monitor congestion, weather conditions, and incidents.
VISSI Pallet Successful deployments of freight technologies yield three types of benefits: 1) to the private sector, 2) the public sector, and 3) the freight network.
Private Sector Benefits
Increases in efficiency and productivity are key private-sector benefits that can be measured with relative ease. The Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Safety and Security (Field Operational Test) FOT reported asset-tracking savings ranging from $7,866 to $15,222 per tractor per month.
Improved reliability and service are other private-sector benefits that help users of freight transportation services. Better schedule adherence, speed and operational flexibility translate into inventory management and customer service-related benefits. Two small tests outside the Department of Transportation's Field Operational Test (DOT FOT) program—the U.S. Trade Development Agency's Bangkok Efficient and Secure Trade project and the industry-funded Smart and Secure Trade lanes initiative—reported about $400 per cargo in benefits to shippers from better asset tracking.
The private sector also benefits from enhanced shipment and service integrity, which apply to both freight system users and providers.
Public Sector Benefits
By smoothing traffic flows around major shipping hubs, intelligent freight technologies can deliver tangible environmental and quality-of-life benefits and help increase the effective capacity of transportation infrastructure. Public agencies also derive direct efficiency and productivity benefits from successful deployments. For example, state highway enforcement agencies can increase the number of trucks that an inspector processes in an hour, and Customs officials can screen more inbound cargos and cross-border trailers. Successful deployment of these technologies can yield significant safety benefits as well. Some technologies permit agencies to focus their enforcement attention on problem areas, yielding proportionally greater benefits. The Hazmat FOT also reported better emergency response, as evaluators found that rapid notification of incidents could lower environmental mitigation costs and potential public exposure to these releases. Finally, the public sector could benefit from intelligent freight technologies in the area of national security. To the degree intelligent freight technologies enhance security against terrorism; they contribute to the society as a whole.
Freight Network Benefits
Freight network benefits are quantitatively different than the intelligent freight technology benefits discussed above; the focus shifts from results achieved by individual firms and projects to large-scale system impacts. Higher quality, lower cost transportation services deliver the most important network benefits when they affect other industries and, through them, the economy as a whole.
The key to realizing network benefits is to enable industries that depend on freight transportation to produce the same amount of goods and services for less. In response to freight transportation improvements, industries can change how much it costs to produce goods from the input cost of raw materials to the cost of finished product delivery. Better freight networks can stimulate advantageous shifts in demand and supply curves for goods and services—an improved freight network thus generates economic growth and greater prosperity. Recent history illustrates the potential value of such shifts: since 1980, transportation and logistics improvements freed up seven percent of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product—a benefit worth about $650 billion to the economy in 2003 alone.
The three principal triggers that support USBIO's introduction of the VISSI Pallet as the premier intelligent freight technology device are:
USBIO system provides a situational awareness picture of a cargo location and condition. It supports awareness by collecting data from USBIO mobile sensor (VISSI Pallet) and provides it for display in a command center. It includes cargo and facility database integration.
The system permits targeting a cargo for surveillance. The Alert Center can view a display featuring cargo identifications and their location. By clicking on a cargo, the Alert Center will access information from various databases and determine whether any threat is present. The threat assessment tool is rule-based and has default settings. The threshold of that threat determination can be decided in advance by the customer.
A USBIO system can be built from the ground up or incorporated into an existing company infrastructure. Web clients permit first responders to access the VISSI Pallet via the Web.
The USBIO system includes a simple Control Console Interface for User Setup, Query and Control of Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Control and shipping functions. Alternately, the User can query and configure the USBIO system via a simple Menu Driven program installed on their PC.
The VISSI Pallet is a shipping cargo tracking system for any size company. The system enables efficient tracking and management of cargos within a storage area or a truck by exploiting the advantages of ZigBee, RFID, wireless sensor network nodes, and cargo tags. It doesn't require any additional infrastructure and blends seamlessly with the current management/tracking methods used in the industry, effectively extending their capabilities with remote querying, localization and security.
Product Overview
The GT device targets tracking of high-value packages in primarily outdoor environments. In an “active” mode in which the device is moving, tracking GPS location, and sending location updates over the GSM cell radio, the device is expected to last 3-15 days depending on reporting rate. The on-board accelerometer will be used to enable a “passive” mode as well. When the device isn’t moving, it will turn off its GSM and GPS subsystems and extend the battery life to weeks or months.
The GT device communicates to the ASPS Information Management Bureau via a direct socket connection over the GSM cell phone network and internet cloud. In this respect, a GT reports readings or receive queued commands whenever necessary via a direct data link into the backend servers. Also, the backend servers can inform the device to call in via an SMS text message page, which will be received whenever the GT device is attached to the GSM network. The achievable range for this radio is miles. The GT device also includes a second radio to form a potential uWLAN (ultra-low power Wireless Local Area Network) radio that will allow it to communicate with other GT devices. The achievable range for this radio is 100s of feet.
The GT contains a rich suite of sensors for tracking the quality of shipments as well as alarm conditions. These sensors include cold chain monitoring sensors (temperature and humidity), quad-positioned light sensors (as a proxy for tamper detection), a digital three-axis accelerometer (for understanding motion/rest periods, impact events, and box orientation), a pressure sensor (as a component of the airplane algorithm) and of course GPS (for absolute Location data). As part of the uWLAN subsystem, a low-power integrated microcontroller with appropriate firmware is provided to drive these sensors and achieve optimal power management of the entire device. This is performed through a careful arrangement of both interrupt and sampling algorithms, depending on sensor type.
Technology Overview
GT System uses technology exclusively for all sensor products and projects.
